Global Alert that was not given Importance !!!

"Earth is not a planet but Home"

Lets start with an good video!!!.... that might be a good epitome for this blog

The Title was actually suggested by my friend ,because I thought the title must be catchy enough to have more viewers   I would like to have more viewers not for an appreciation or pride but to be a small part of the great global campaign
                                  "The Global Warming"

We are hearing these words very frequently these days in medias like TV , Newspaper,
radio.etc for which our response might be none.I am ashamed to write this is more common among the literates as well, who can understand better the reasons & consequences.
The literates of the society are responsible for creating awareness on this global issue. The social websites like Facebook or twitter are the best media to start our campaign on this global issue.Peeps are generous enough to share a video or a song in FB or twitter to make our friends laugh and happy. So why can't we share these views and awareness to make our future friends(forthcoming generations) happy .We must understand that our home "The Earth" is drowning gradually

What is Global warming?

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century. Most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century has been caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases, which result from human activity such as the burning of fossil fuel and deforestation
What the hell reasons are??

One of the major causes for global warming can be attributed to the activities of man. The man which thinks of himself as the most intelligent thing on earth is knowingly or unknowingly destroying its own habitat
Greenhouse gases which include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen oxide etc. the gases have created an effect of green house on the earths surface which prevents the reflection of the rays from sun and thus causes the increase in temperature. Carbon-di-oxide concentration in the air has increased due to the emissions from cars, airplanes, power plants, industries etc

Deforestation, Forests have been cut down paying way for agriculture, industries and cities. The trees were natural regulators of carbon dioxide which used to control its level's in the atmosphere.

I would be privileged to remind a beautiful video by "King of Pop" in this blog

CFC ,Chlorofluorocarbon which is used in refrigerators, in fire extinguisher's which destroys the natural ozone layer. The ozone layer was a natural barrier which used to prevent the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun. Without this layer, the rays fall on the earth and cause the temperature to increase. Researchers have found an ozone hole in our atmosphere, which they say is the main reason for the melting of glacier's in the Polar Regions
Increase in world's Population: Earth which mainly consists of developing or underdeveloped countries, which holds a major population needs electricity for the day to day activities. The electricity supply is mainly satisfied by burning fossil fuels. The fossil fuel on burning releases carbon dioxide which causes global warming.

"The change in the earth’s orbit or axis also causes changes in climate as well as changes in temperature".The change in the earth’s orbit or axis also causes changes in climate as well as changes in temperature. Any change in the axis of the earth makes the earth either to move towards the sun or move away from the sun.
If the planet earth move towards the sun, the quantity of the heat rays reaching the earth will be more, which will result in increased temperature patterns in the earth’s atmosphere or we can say it as global warming. The amount of sulfur oxides, which is belched out of massive volcanic eruptions, comes more than that produced by any human activity leads to global warming.

Consequences of Global Warming:

1.Melting of ice-caps in polar region, which leads to increase in sea level, there will be reductions in glacier extent and the thickness of glaciers. If the rising temperature affects glaciers and icebergs, could the polar ice caps be in danger of melting and causing the oceans to rise? This could happen, but no one knows when it might happen.

2.Increase in temperature :From 1961 to 2003, the global ocean temperature has risen by 0.10 °C from the surface to a depth of 700 m.As the temperature of oceans rises, so will the probability of more frequent and stronger hurricanes

3.Spread of epidemic diseases As northern countries warm, disease carrying insects migrate north, bringing plague and disease with them

4.Change in climate: Although some areas of Earth will become wetter due to global warming, other areas will suffer serious droughts and heat waves. Africa will receive the worst of it, with more severe droughts also expected in Europe.According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, global warming will exacerbate the conditions and could lead to conflicts and war

5.Only the most adaptable animals will survive.Temperature rises and changing landscapes in the Artic circle will endanger several species of animals.

What can we do to reduce Global Warming?

Global warming is a fact ,it's real,it's already happening. We cannot stop it but definitely can be a part of reducing it .

1.Go Green!!! can be the first and best slogan for reducing global warming .Plant more trees and we youngsters to be against cutting trees for no reasons.Plantation can be the good element to reduce global warming to the max.

2.We can switch to alternate source of energy instead of electricity or fossil fuels like petrol or diesel .Solar energy or natural energy(gobar gas) are some of the good options we can use for domestic purposes at least.eg:Buy and use an electric mower to cut your grass.FYI,switching to solar power can cost you between 20,000 and 30,000 dollars fully installed for an average size home and a wind powered system costs about the same. But it is an one-time investment

A Hybrid car that runs on solar energy
3.We can use vehicles with an electric model or at least a hybrid. Guys this type of car will not be costly than your dream car Ferrari .To be simple we can use public transports instead of using individual vehicles for traveling. We can habituate to walk or to use cycles for places in simple distances.
4.We can avoid wasting water and paper ,because wasting paper in-turn leads to deforestation.
5. Avoid burning plastics or non-recycle products . Recycle  garbage

6.Consume what is necessary, the materialistic life is one of the reason for disasters we are facing .

Pledge : I am trying from my end as follows

1.We formed a small team called "Go Green" with a  small group of children and interested adults in our street .We started planting trees in vacant areas of our street and also on either sides of the road.Peeps it's interesting and i can say it's excites you more than a pub or a theater

https://picasaweb.google.com/117611028087616213553/MaramNaduVilzha#

2.I am using reusable water bottles ,it's good to use rather than using paper cups for drinking water in office premises. We can have our own reusable coffee or tea mugs. This is hygienic as well.We can use E-mails and e-cards for communication

3.I will try  to avoid wasting water while bathing or washing at the max.I will close the taps properly which avoids water leakages .We implementer rain water harvesting at home to save rain water

4.At home we are  using  tube lights or fluorescent  bulbs that consumes less electricity.

5.At home we implemented solar system in the terrace for water heaters

6.I will avoid using AC or Heaters very frequently

7.I will avoid using bikes or cars to places that are near.Friends ,walking or cycling freshens you and also makes you slim and beauty

8.We will have separate trash baskets at home to segregate garbage that can be recycled and non-recycled.We will not throw the wastage out ,but collect and trash into municipality baskets

9.We will not burn the plastics or non-recycle products

10.We will use reusable baskets or covers(made of cloths or paper) for shopping but not plastic covers.

11.I will switch off the lights at office and home when it is not in use .I will switch off my computer eveyday while am leaving office ,but not  keeping it in standby mode .Keeping our computer at standby continuously  will decrease the performance ,i think many of us might faced this problem

We must raise hands to follow at-least 5 out of 11 pledges to be a great part in reducing global warming. Please create awareness with each other and let us all hold hands together to save our home "the earth" .I conclude as same as the intro

FEBRUARY - "Month of Valentines"!!!!!!

I think it is rite to be a first topic for this month, FEBRUARY "The month of Valentines".Truly I am happy to write about a month or a day which is dedicated for LOVE ,"Elixir of life".I spotted LOVE as elixir(an Arabic word) ,which is actually a medicinal solvent used for treating wounds or illness.Really a true love can able to treat wounds or illness between any relationship.

LOVE is a feel apart from things in the universe .Human cannot raise hands that its their own property ,but its among every living being .It can be seen even among predators like lion or tiger. It has the power to push down the materialistic world under his feet .The peace and happiness are the son or daughter of the Godfather "LOVE".It can create magic as a solution for any unsorted grief or problem.

History of Valentine's day from a website : (Might be untrue)
Here’s the long and short of it: At some point in time, there was perhaps a dude, or possibly some dudes, named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were probably martyred. (P.S. The Romans hated Christians, which is why they killed them. A lot of them. Several, in fact, with the same name.)A few murky legends exist around the origin of our venerated “Saint Valentine,” including that he performed secret marriages for young lovers in Third-Century Rome after Emperor Claudius II outlawed the practice for soldier-aged men; that he might have helped Christians escape from Roman prisons; and even that he sent the first official Valentine’s Day card himself to a jailor’s daughter while he was imprisoned for being Christian. Apparently this last Mr. Valentine wrote a love letter to the young girl signed “from your Valentine,” thus the reason we use this phrase today. (He also may have cured her blindness — a rare, but appreciated, practice in modern Valentine exchanges). The only thing we know for certain (and by certain I mean “according to Wikipedia”), is that “Valentine” was buried at the Via Flaminia north of Rome on February 14.But what about hearts and heart symbols?Artistotle thought the heart, not the brain, was the seat of emotion, thought and reason, even though “thought” and “reason” rarely apply to love

Ancient Egyptians weighed the heart portion of the soul against the feather of Ma’at as part of your judgment in the underworld. Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer appreciated the human heart so much he kept one in his freezer “to eat later.” The heart is also part of our circulatory system, which could explain the red color. But none of these explain the shape or its relationship to love.Wikipedia to the rescue“The seed of the silphium plant, used in ancient times as an herbal contraceptive, has been suggested as the source of the heart symbol.” Used in Greco-Roman cooking, the plant was purported to have many medical uses from treating colds to warts, but according to Pliny the Elder, its chief role was as a contraceptive(prevention of pregnancy) .Apparently the now-extinct plant’s seed pods greatly resemble the modern-day heart shape.

Love can keep you healthy :

Is love powerful enough to lower one's blood pressure, reduce depression and speed the healing of an injury? Well, science says, yes it is!!!"Our relationships help us cope with stress, so if we have someone we can turn to for emotional support or advice, that can buffer the negative effects of stress," the Washington Post quoted Julianne Holt-Lunstad, of the Brigham Young University, as saying.Holt-Lunstad's study found that happily married people have lower blood pressure than unmarried people. But unhappily married people have higher blood pressure than both groups. So, when it comes to blood pressure, at least, you're probably better off alone than in a troubled marriage."Romantic relationships also can provide a sense of meaning and purpose in life that can translate to better self-care and less risk taking", said Holt-Lunstad.

Arthur Aron, a social psychologist at Stony Brook University in New York, does brain scans with fMRI machines of people at various stages of the romantic journey: newly in love, in long-term relationships and recently rejected. In his studies, Aron has consistently found that feelings of love trigger the brain's dopamine-reward system. Dopamine is a powerful neurotransmitter that affects pleasure and motivation.Hugging and hand-holding, meanwhile, have been found to release the hormone oxytocin, which lowers the levels of stress hormones in the body, reducing blood pressure, improving mood and increasing tolerance for pain, according to research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

If being in love makes you happy, it may also have another welcome health benefit: fewer colds. Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh found that those who tended to experience positive emotions such as happy, pleased and relaxed were more resistant to the common cold than those who felt anxious or depressed.A happy marriage may also speed the rate that wounds heal, according to a 2005 study at Ohio State University. It found that a married couple's 30-minute positive, supportive discussion sped up their bodies' ability to recover from an injury by at least one day. (ANI)

Love cultivates attitude  :
As a magic ,LOVE can create change in your attitude .As an example we may not be punctual or on-time to an occasion or to a outing ,but our lover or friend might so punctual and he or she wish us to be punctual as well.
Eva's change for Walle

We will change the attitude for sure to make him happy or to avoid unwanted clashes between us.As time passes we would be punctual to anywhere, even in the absence  lover or friend .We may not be flexible with our sibling or parents as we do with our friend or lover .It will cultivate adaptability, give & take policy ,generic disorders (Parents may be so rude but the person in relationship will change to a smaller extent).

Can good friends be good spouses? :

The question raised is because both the relationship were on the platform of LOVE .The answer for the question is a big "YES".A spouse may not be a good friend but definitely a good friend can be a good lover more than a spouse .The relationship is more bonded in marriage with strong base as love and friendship. My answer above was a big yes, which is my perspective .But as everything has its own advantage and disadvantage.Lets analyze the pros and cons

Why it is "YES" : As a proverb "A known devil is better than a unknown angel".You know her sensitivities, religious values, spending habits, his mom's attitude, his friends, her colleagues - you won't know any of this if you marry a stranger. We know each others reaction on a particular situation ,so we would be able to adopt our self .Might be silly but sometimes values more ,we know each others favorite food ,movies, music, persons around us,silly favors ..lot ..lot and lot. More than all, we will not share things genuinely to a stranger as spouse ,I think everyone will accept on this .We  feel very comfortable on sharing the past relationships with lover or a friend rather than with a stranger as spouse .

Why It is "NO": Again the advantage is same as disadvantage ,we know very well each other and if negatives comes into picture then the problem raises .We know each others relationship behavior .When we try or wish  to put an end to some of the relationship or behavior ,then there may be an quake after the marriage .So it is based on the individual who choose the way .

We might seen successful couples who get married after being friends ,and some failure couples as well.So its completely depends on the individuals who go for "YES" or "NO".If you feel ,you will be happy and also make your spouse(Friend) happy ..GO!! for "YES".Otherwise fly with an unknown Angel.

Valentine's Day in India  :
Valentine's Day celebration is a recent phenomenon in India but has caught the fancy of people to a great extent. Though some see it as a western import and hesitate to celebrate, there exist a large and growing number of those who love the feeling behind the beautiful and romantic festival. Especially to the Indian youth February 14 signifies love - a day when people express their affection for others. Just as several other countries, people in India too celebrate the Valentine's Day by exchanging cards and gifts.

Valentine's Day festival can be experienced weeks before the festival. Television, radio and print media start creating advertisements .Gift marketers and card companies launch a campaign to attract the youngsters. Card and gift shops are interestingly decorated with symbols of Valentine's Day including roses, cupid and heart shaped balloons. Shopping malls in metropolitan cities organize fun-filled competitions and distribute discount coupons to attract the consumers.

On February 14, the Valentine's Day restaurants, discos, Cineplex, pubs and pizza parlors see a particularly busy time as couples celebrate the day in togetherness. Many boys and girls even propose to their sweetheart on this romantic day. People also express love to their friends, teachers, siblings and parents. Popular Valentine's Day gifts exchanged in India include chocolates, fresh flowers, cards, soft toys and candies. These are also clubbed with several other gifts to pamper sweethearts.

Does India says GO!! :

P.S : This is from a website delivers strong opposition for valentine's day in India
THE CELEBRATIONS of days such as ‘Valentine’s’ have been the main reason behind the degeneration of moral values of the nations that have discarded traditional sexual values, and are encouraging people to lead an immoral life. This has caused the degradation of such nations. Seven percent of American children now have sex even before they have become teenagers.Statistics says , at least 12.5 lakh teenage girls become pregnant each year in the 28 developed nations like US, UK and other European countries. Of those, approximately 5 lakh girls seek abortion and approximately 7.5 lakh girls become teenage mothers.Every year some 30 lakh American teenagers contract a sexually transmitted infection

Countries like India should preserve their traditional sexual values by imposing a ban on ‘Valentine’s Day’, and the government must encourage institutions, which promote ethical values so that such problems may never arise in this country. But if we emulate their degrading culture, we will be left with an increasing number of AIDS cases and emotionally and mentally disturbed teenagers. The youth will celebrate ‘Valentine’s Day’, look at each other with lust and dissipate their sexual energy even during the day. This will weaken their intellect, their eyesight and also the future generation. You may verily call this a ‘Sin Day’ for breaking our nation’s backbone. It is not a day of love, but a day of harassment to the youth, a veritable ‘Youths’ Dooms day.’

Dear Indian brethren! Now think for yourself, are we to import their degradation into our country? Would the parents of Indian girls like them to be swept away with the blind imitation of the western culture and fall victims to lust, undergo abortion, or become teenage mothers by getting entangled in vicious celebrations like Valentine’s Day? Apart from Ignorant peoples ,doctors and wise people can well realize whether the sexual energy of the youth will be motivated or demotivated by exchanging flowers and touching one another.

World's each and everything has its own advantage and disadvantage ,its merely on their own perspective .So lets celebrate the February 14th as a

"DAY of LOVE" but not a "DAY of LUST"
Friends ,"HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY !!!!!"

Signing-off with a cute letter below

Colors of Life

Color is a powerful and important communication tool, and it is tied to religious, cultural, political and social influences. Most of us have a favorite color or prefer some colors over others. This is because # CAN AFFECT OUR MOODS so we surround ourselves in the colors that have a positive impact on our mood.Red can boost your energy, yellow often makes people feel happier, and blue is proven to bring down blood pressure and slow your heart rate which is why it is often associated with being relaxing. If you combine the happiness of yellow and the relaxing feel of blue you get green, a very pleasing color for many people.
Mental health units are known to use pastel tones on their walls so that patients feel calm, happy, and relaxed. Walls that are beige with a pink tint combined with mint green floors are a popular combination as it is said to create a soothing harmonious and calm area. At the other end of the spectrum, literally, schools tend to user bright colors that appeal to children.

# COLORS COMMUNICATE INVISIBLY  Wassily Kandinsky was one of the first pioneers of color theory. A renowned Russian painter and art theorist, he is often considered the founder of abstract art. Kandinsky believed the following colours communicate the following qualities:
  • Yellow – warm, exciting, happy
  • Blue – deep, peaceful, supernatural
  • Green – peace, stillness, nature
  • Black – grief, dark, unknown
  • Red – glowing, confidence, alive
  • Orange – radiant, healthy, serious
  • White – harmony, silence, cleanliness
# COLORS HAS CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE Different colours mean different things in different places. This is extremely important for designers to know because without an awareness of the cultural significance of a particular colour, you risk offending your entire target audience.Purple for example is a colour of mourning thailand. In western culture however,it is associated with
with royalty, luxury, wealth and sometimes magic. The brand color for Thai Airways is purple. On first glance this seems like a huge error on their part because as mentioned above, purple is a color of mourning in Thailand. It is most likely however, that the Thai Airways website isn’t aimed at locals but at tourists, therefore if westerners view the site and see purple it will associate Thai Airways with values such as luxury and comfort.

        Other examples are:
  • In western cultures black is a colour of mourning
  • In Japan however it is a colour of honour, with white the colour of mourning
  • Red in the west represents danger, love, passion
  • In India it is a colour of purity, in China it is a colour of good luck and in South Africa it is a colour of mourning
  • Yellow represents courage in Japan, mourning in Egypt and hope in the West
#5COLOR HAS POLITICAL ASSOCIATIONS Individual political parties are associated with one colour or another. Depending on whom your audience is, this might prove to be valuable information when designing. The association between political parties and colours isn’t a new connection but it is often taken for granted. In the UK for example the following pairings exist:
  • Labor – Red
  • Conservative – Blue
  • Liberal Democrats – Yellow
  • The Green Party – Green
If a color is representative of a political party then the values and behaviors that the party is known for can be suggested through the use of this color.
  • Red is often linked to socialism and communism
  • White has links to pacifism and the surrender flag. In contrast to this, black is a color that is used in conjunction with anarchism.
  • Working class Nazism is associated with the color brown as the SA were known as the ‘brown-shirts’.
A design with one of these colors as the dominant shade may well hint at a right wing or a left wing preference or at extreme behaviors.

#6 RELIGION CAN BE LINKED TO COLORS As with politics, colors are representative of certain religions. So as not to unintentionally offend anyone through your designs,

some examples of these color/religion associations are:

  • Green is considered to be the holy color of Islam
  • Judaism is represented by the color yellow
  • In Hinduism, many gods have blue skin
  • White is linked to peace across many religions
Again this may only be necessary information if you are designing a site that has specific links to religion but it also emphasizes that a thorough knowledge of your audience is a fundamental part of the design process.

#7 AGE AFFECTS PEOPLE'S COLOR PREFERENCES Color expert Faber Birren carried out many studies into this area and in his book Color Psychology and Color Therapy, he states that for both genders, blue and red “maintain a high preference throughout life”. He found that yellow is popular with children but as become move into adulthood it shows less popularity. Birren found that “with maturity comes a greater liking for hues of shorter wave length (blue, green, purple) than for hues of longer wave length (red, orange, and yellow)”.Another factor that influences people's color preferences is that throughouttheir life there will be social and cultural changes and this can directly impact on their favorite colors. Some knowledge of what colors certain age ranges prefer can be valuable for designers. If you were designing a website for a toy store or a children TV channel, then knowing they prefer bright colors and yellow in particular would help with your design decisions.

Likewise, if you designed a website for a charity whereby the audience was to be the older generation then blue, green or purple might be ideal, based on Birren’s findings.
